The project is an idyllic country home, an escape from the bustling busy city life.
It is an amalgamation of the more traditional elements, as seen in the project's design, and the modern lifestyle as reflected in the interiors.
Instead of clearing the site of its natural charm and starting afresh, the project is designed around the existing trees. This conscious decision of using the trees' placement as a guiding factor gives the layout its current tilted form.

The tilted linear layout of the house provides for ample light and ventilation throughout the space with each room getting direct exposure to the outdoors. The volumes throughout are split and arranged in a manner to account for for maximum ventilation throughout the space. These rectangular volumes provide a clean and solid base for the structure's sloped roof and give a neat finish overall. The sloped roofs in return are necessary to combat the heavy rainfall the site receives.
The leaf-vein inspired window detail adds a touch of uniqueness and delicacy to the otherwise simple, traditional and sturdy structure of kota stone floors, white plastered walls and Mangalore tiles on the roof.
In accordance to the client's wishes who happens to be an avid reader, the library forms the heart of the home's design. A place to relax and unwind, the bay window brings in enough daylight and the wooden floors add the warmth and richness to make it the perfect spot to let loose.
