The core design idea for this project was to sketch creative spaces that have an inviting nature and can host large gatherings and homely dinners where people can enjoy each other's company.
This huge home to a family of seven sits on a contoured site in the tropical state of Kerela. The house is a massive 6 bedroom abode that spans diagonally across the plot. The structure splits at three levels to breakdown the monotony in the façade as well as to create a play of volumes.

The building footprint is minimized to maximize the garden space which was a key idea from the very start. The way the house envelopes the green spaces allows for splendid views as well as seamless flow of daylight and ventilation. The sloped roofs with Mangalore tiles address both the traditional aesthetic as well as the pouring rainfall experienced in the town.
The two towers that host the staircase and services core bring in the verticality and break the constant volume whereas all of the fenestration follow a modular structure that creates a sense of rhythm all along the many facades.
